Our Charity

The children of St Christopher’s realise just how lucky they are. As a result, the school takes its place in the community seriously and to that end is fully committed to help local, national and international charities.

Last year, 2010/11, we raised funds for the following charities:

We have one major charity fund raising event every year. This year it is for the NSPCC. We are taking part in a mini -marathon in June 2012 to coincide with the Olympics being held in Britain.

Two members of Year 6 take on the role of Charity Monitors every year and organise the collection of donations. They also choose the nominated charity for any other fund raising charitable events held during  the year.

In late September the children bring items of food for our Harvest assembly. These offerings are donated to St Luke’s Hospice in Kenton. This local hospice is funded mainly by donations. The manager and nurses are always extremely pleased to accept our gifts which were taken last year by the Head Boy and Charity Monitors
