Our Charity

The children of St Christopher’s realise just how lucky they are. As a result, the school takes its place in the community seriously and to that end is fully committed to help local, national and international charities.

We have one major charity fund raising event ever year.

This year we chose the NSPCC. A representative from this charity talked to the whole school in Assembly and explained the work undertaken by them to help children. A sponsored ‘Keep Fit’ session was held in the school playground which raised £450.27.

During the year we continue to support various charities.

‘Jeans for Genes Day’ is always popular as the children come to school wearing jeans in return for donating £1 to the charity!

Teddy Bears are brought into the school to support ‘Children in Need’ and red noses worn for ‘Red Nose Day’ in the spring. We donate our harvest offerings to St Luke’s Hospice in Kenton and The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal is always generously supported.

St Christopher’s appoints a Charity Monitor each year, whose job it is to maintain our momentum.
