Junior School Christmas Play
The Junior School put on a wonderful performance of ‘The Innkeeper’s Breakfast’ for their Christmas play. In particular, the innkeeper and narrators worked especially hard learning their many lines. Highlights included the Innkeeper's comic lines, the wonderful duet by Mary and Joseph and the Three Kings' entrance.

Nursery Christmas Play
This year the Nursery Christmas play was ‘Shine Star Shine’. All the children rehearsed hard to put on a delightful performance. Highlights included Sophie-Amelie’s solo, Alexander’s enthusiastic singing and Sami’s excellent acting as the ‘Star’. As usual with children so young, there were some comedy moments! The Kings and camels appeared to ‘get lost’ in the desert and one of the camels decided to have a nap half way through the play!

Anti-bullying assembly
This term the children in both schools had a special anti- bullying assembly entitled ‘The Power of One’. The Power of One is a series of skits presented by actors who use boxes, colours, and masks to vividly portray what bullying is, what can be done about it, and how every child has the power of one - the power to report bullying when they see it.

Operation Christmas Child
This term for our charity, we decided to support Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child distribute shoeboxes filled with toys and useful items such as pencils, toothbrushes, soap and hats and gloves to children in various countries around the world who otherwise would not receive a gift at Christmas time. Due to the generosity of the parents, we collected 65 boxes for this good cause. Thank you.

Aston House School gets passionately healthy
Both our junior and senior schools held a Healthy Schools Week to help raise funds for the NSPCC during the week beginning Monday 13th October. As part of the four core themes of the National Healthy Schools Programme, which support the links between health, behaviour and achievement, the weekly curriculum had been amended to get the pupils involved in inspirational ideas on healthy eating, healthy bodies and physical activities!

On Friday 17th October, a company called “NUTRITIOUS and DELICIOUS” in partnership with the London Borough of Ealing, talked to the children about vegetables, fruit and eating healthily and they even got to make tasty smoothies as part of the “Ready Steady Cook” type workshops.
