Aston House Junior School is a small and friendly preparatory school for boys and girls aged 4 - 7 years. With just three classes within the Junior School, a warm and intimate atmosphere can always be found.
The school provides a unique balance between traditional class sizes, care and attention, whilst embracing modern day IT and teaching methods. This creates an environment in which each child can flourish both personally and educationally and can then progress to Aston Senior School.
The school curriculum takes into account the national curriculum and is taught through a combination of traditional and Montessori-based educational programmes.
Our nursery provides a warm, friendly and happy environment for children aged 2 and above.
My name is Paula Seabrook, in 2005 I was appointed Headmistress of Aston House School, having run the Senior Department as Deputy Head. One of the aspects of my job on which I place great importance is maintaining a close relationship with the children in my care. To this end I strive to combine the administrative side of my headship with a day to day contact with the pupils. I therefore teach French to the children in the Senior Department and English to Year 6 pupils.
Based as I am at the Junior School, I see the younger children on a daily basis. We hold Good Work Assemblies every week when we celebrate their achievements and where they love to "assist" me in my story telling - displaying excellent acting potential!
Aston House is very much a family school where the children know and value each other. I am lucky to have an excellent, supportive staff who collaborate well, ensuring the children receive the warmth and nurture necessary for long term success. From the youngest in the nursery to the oldest 11+ candidates the pupils are encouraged to achieve their maximum potential. Our oldest children are living proof of Aston House's commitment for success, going on to major public schools, confident in their own ability.
In future I would like to expand the possibilities for individualised learning, whilst maintaining the caring ethos of the school.
We are conveniently located minutes from Ealing Broadway Centre.
