We know how important it is to get your child’s first school right and our Reception class offers the right start to life at Buxlow. Our class numbers are deliberately kept to a maximum of 18 and the class has a qualified teacher and a qualified teaching assistant who work together to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage: Communication, Language and Literacy, Mathematical Development, Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Creative Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Physical Development. Certain subject areas, such as French and Music are taught by specialist teachers who are able to provide a high level of expertise.

It is in our Reception class that our pupils start to learn the social skills they will need throughout their time at Buxlow and beyond and the children flourish in a warm and caring community.
