Independent Schools Association

Buxlow School Council was created so that the pupils could examine and discuss certain aspects of school life in a group and under the supervision of a teacher and to help prepare for adulthood through involvement in a democratic process. It is also intended to make an important contribution to raising standards in all aspects of school life. Pupils are nominated and then elected to the School Council. Two children from each class, from Year 2 to Year 6, represent their peers on the School Council.
The School Council has implemented a number of exciting projects, including a playground buddy initiative.
