School History

The story starts with Mrs Probyn the founder of the school who was born on a farm called Buxlow in Buckinghamshire. When they eventually moved into 5 Castleton Gardens in 1929 (after 2 years of running a school elsewhere in Wembley) they opened the school which they called Buxlow after the home they loved so much. She and her husband lived in two rooms and designated the rest of the rooms as schoolrooms. Mr Probyn taught the boys and Mrs Probyn taught the girls. Soon the numbers had increased so much that they moved into number six leaving number 5 as the school. Since that time Buxlow has grown in to the successful happy school that you see today.
