Former pupil experiences 'A Journey of a Lifetime' during her trip to Hajj

Ten year old Saleena Nurmohamed, who joined the 2006-7 European Hajj Mission of the Council of European Jamaat took the initiative to record a diary of her entire journey. The rituals of Hajj are common to al Muslims and millions perform them every 7 years. The experiences are unique to every individual and the booklet that was produced records Saleen's experiences in her own words.
The European Hajj Mission has thought it fit to publish her diary and make it available to a wider audience, for two reasons. Firstly, it is to inspire other children, and equally important - adults too, to consider performing this spiritual and life changing journey at the earliest opportunity. Secondly, from within the Hajj's community, there are very few such recorded experiences, from a child's eyes, and it is hoped that readers of all ages will find her narrration interesting.

On behalf of St Christopher's School, we would like to congratulate Salenna for her diary.
