Admissions

At St Nicholas we are an inclusive school that welcomes children from all backgrounds.  All applications will be treated on merit and in a sensitive manner.

Prospective parents may visit the school during an Open Morning, monthly Coffee Morning or by arranging an individual appointment.  The next stage is to pay the £50 registration fee and complete the registration form.  Children are then invited to attend for an assessment. The decision will then be made as to whether they will be offered a place.  If the offer of a place is made then parents are asked to reply within 2 weeks. The place is guaranteed by payment of the £400 deposit and an agreement to the company’s terms and conditions.

At St Nicholas School, children normally enter the Lower Nursery Class in the term that they turn three, provided they are potty-trained. Children in our Upper Nursery are given the option to join the Reception Class at the start of the academic year in which they become five.

From Year 1 onwards children are admitted to the school if there is a space available and they fulfill the entry requirements, which include a report from the previous school and an assessment by the form teacher or Head Teacher.
